2025-2026 Bel Canto members
Bel Canto Choir (10, 11, 12) is a full-year, auditioned choir designed especially for the rehearsal and performance of three and four-part treble music (soprano I, soprano II, alto I, and alto II). Repertoire for Bel Canto ranges from advanced traditional choral literature to contemporary pop arrangements. Auditions with the directors are required in the spring. Vocal technique and basic sight-reading skills are part of each rehearsal. When applicable and appropriate, fundamentals of music theory and music history are reviewed. Attendance is required at each evening performance, which includes the Fall Concert, District-wide Choir Festival, Winter Concert, and the Happenin’ Concert. Bel Canto participates in an annual tour with Cantemus and Concert Choir.

Thursday, October 2: Flex Block (2:26-3:16pm): combined rehearsal with Concert Choir & Cantemus
Monday, October 13: Fall Concert (concert at 7:00pm; attendance at 6:30pm)
Tuesday, November 11: Veterans Day program performance (daytime at EHS)
Tuesday, December 2: District-wide Choir Festival (7:00pm; attendance time will be announced)
Thursday, January 29: Flex Block (2:26-3:16pm): combined rehearsal with Concert Choir & Cantemus
Thursday, February 5: sing with Cantemus at Sweethearts Coronation (daytime)
Tuesday, February 10: Winter Choral Concert (concert at 8:00pm; attendance at 7:30pm)
Thursday, February 26: Lake Conference Treble Choir Festival, daytime trip to Minnetonka High School
Monday, March 9 & Tuesday, March 10 (for those interested): Happenin’ special act auditions (time slots between 5:30-8:30pm)
Wed., March 25 - Sun., March 29: NYC Tour (departure & return times will be announced)
Thursday, April 30: Happenin’ combined rehearsal (7:30-8:25am)
Monday, May 4: Happenin’ combined rehearsal (3:20-4:45pm)
Tuesday, May 5: Happenin’ dress rehearsal (6:30-9:30pm)
Wednesday, May 6: Happenin’ final combined rehearsal (3:20-4:45pm)
Thursday, May 7: Happenin’ concert #1 (concert at 7:00pm; attendance at 6:30pm)
Friday, May 8: Happenin’ concert #2 (concert at 7:00pm; attendance at 6:30pm)
Monday, June 1: Senior members sing during Commencement, Mariucci Arena (7:00pm)
